Discount Jointer For Sale

Featured

You know how sometimes you are in the market for something and you can’t find a good deal. Then at other times you don’t need anything and it looks like everything is on sale. It’s very frustrating.

Well what I realized is that this doesn’t have to be like this, at least not for everything. This is why I created this site is where you will find discount jointers for sale every time you come here. The idea is that you browse some of our items and then check to see which ones qualify as true discount jointers and which ones are just regular items for sale.

Discount Jointer are usually available on Amazon.com

This is why I work with them. They are the kings of discount jointer and other items, and although I can’t guarantee that a specific quality jointer for sale will have a discount, it is highly likely that some will be offering you great savings.

The thing to keep in mind though is that these discounts don’t last forever. Browse the items, check out our reviews, and if you find an affordable jointer for sale that fits your need, don’t hesitate to purchase it. Delivery will be quick and hassle free, set up can vary according to brand but shouldn’t take more than a couple of hours, and you can soon be saving a lot of time in your woodworking projects.

In our jointer reviews we will evaluate jointers for amateur and professional use. However, if you have an industrial operation that requires high productivity and extreme heavy-duty use you may want to read some more customer reviews at Amazon’s website to make sure you are buying something that will be satisfactory to your use.

Most of our products are for small workshops, they will save you a lot of time and money (especially if you buy wood directly from a mill). When you buy a low cost jointer, you are making an investment that will ultimately give you better quality and more time for your woodworking.

So enjoy the site and I hope you find the discount jointer you were looking for.

Where can I buy a jointer

So I noticed a lot of people don’t know where to buy a good jointer. Is it better to buy in a normal hardware store or on the internet? I mean sure you can get better service at a retail hardware store, but you also pay a lot more for the same item you can find online. At the end of the day, you are spending your hard earned money on something you want or need. You should be able to get the most out of it.

On the other hand, you have to be careful with your money. You should know where you are spending it so as to not throw it away on a scam, or low quality products that will ultimately cost you a lot more. Sometimes you really pay for what you get.

So where can I buy a jointer that is both cheap and a quality product with good service? The answer is in a trustworthy site. In my opinion, the best place out there is Amazon.com. They have a good return policy, ship fast, have great quality products and you know you will not be scammed.

Sure a jointer makes for a pretty big package, but almost everyone I have talked to has received their product in their garage by a delivery truck with a mounted crane. Unless your shop is somewhere very inaccessible, you will have no problem setting it up. Even if your shop is in your basement, you can carry all parts in two or three people with no problem.

So my answer to the question is: at Amazon.com. Now all you have to do is pick your model, check for discounts and order. In a few short days you will be having a much better time in your woodworking projects.

Floor Mounted 6 Inches Jointer Reviews

Floor Mounted 6 Inches Jointer Reviews

Below you will find four different floor mounted 6 inches jointer reviews.

They all have in common a 1HP single phase motor, 3 blades that operate at 14,400 cuts per minute. All are for a maximum 6 inches width.

JET JJ-6CSX 6-Inch 1-HP Jointer

Our first product for this article on jointer reviews is the JET JJ-6CSX. This is a brand name item that comes with a great 5 year warranty. Not many people who bought one of these seem to regret their decision. They are well built and are workhorses. This model uses handwheels for outfeed and infeed table adjustments. It weighs 215 pounds. The cast iron bed does not have wheels, so you’ll have to purchase them if you don’t want to dedicate a space to this machine in your shop.

DELTA 37-275X X5 Professional 6-Inch 1-Horsepower Jointer

Another brand name with a 5 year warranty, this Delta machine is very well built and few owners complain about it. The main difference in comparison with the JET is the use of levers instead of handwheels for infeed and outfeed table adjustments. They have been reported to work well, but it is a stigma for some woodworkers. Weighs 225 pounds and also doesn’t come with a mobile base. So clear a space in your shop, buy the mobile base, or look for a different model.

Shop Fox W1745 6-Inch Jointer With Built-In Mobile Base

This is a new item with not a lot of reviews on it. On paper it looks pretty good. Its best asset is the mobile base. It has a good table length and is usually cheaper than the JET and Delta competitors (check for discounts). Uses handwheels for outfeed table and has a lever adjusted infeed table. There have been some issues with low quality packaging, and you also shouldn’t expect a lot in terms of quality. It weighs 270 pounds. A good alternative if you don’t want to spend more for the name brands or if you can’t do away with that mobile base.

Grizzly G0452 6″ Jointer

This brand is sort of a pet peeve of mine. They are made like power tools should be made, rugged and tough. Customer service is also very good. This model has a great mobile base that doesn’t cause instability. Also uses handwheels for outfeed table and has a lever adjusted infeed table. It weighs 163 pounds. This tool is the one I would recommend, and it is usually the cheapest of the four (even though discounts are hard to come by).

Bench Top Jointer

Not all of us wood enthusiasts have as much money and workspace as we would like.

In fact, when I began had to get by with just a small work counter in a corner of my garage. It was only after many years and a lot of negotiating with my wife that I was able to create my own space in the basement and get enough room for larger projects.

For anyone who is still doing part-time woodworking on small projects and doesn’t require heavy-duty use, a good choice is an affordable bench top jointer. They usually have 6 inch beds and can be stored easily underneath your work bench. The motor will be considerably louder than the induction motor on a floor model.

Depending on the model you will be able to vary the cutting speed to tailor it to the type of wood you are working with and the desired cutting smoothness. These bench top jointers are great for short pieces of wood but can have problems for longer pieces. They are recommended for anyone who has only sporadic use of a jointer and doesn’t want to spend too much money and space on a floor mounted jointer.

Below you will find a bench to jointer comparison between 4 popular models. These are based on product specifications and user reviews.

From this I deduce that by far the best quality one is the Grizzly 0612. Aluminum doesn’t even come close to a cast iron table top in terms of quality and durability. There have been some issues with the shipping as depending on accessibility of your workshop but it is the best one.

It does weight a lot though. If you can give it a permanent space on a work counter that won’t be a problem, but if you have to pick it up and move it every time you could start to have some serious back issues. Also, you might prefer a bigger brand for the warranty and customer service they provide.

In this case both the JET models and the Delta are cheaply made (think aluminum and plastic). The 8 and 10 inches JET models also have a (rather low quality) planer that can be useful for some users. Others may find the fact that the Delta allows you to regulate the speed for different materials more useful. Also, users almost unanimously consider the Delta JT160 easier to assemble.

The price of all of these varies. Usually the Grizzly will be cheaper than the JET and Delta models, but sometimes great discount jointers are available on Amazon, and that will even the playing field. You can check the current price on Amazon by clicking on the table above.

In conclusion,

if you want the best and don’t mind the extra weight, get the Grizzly 0612. Else, get the Delta JT160 for its adaptability to different kinds of woods, or the JET JJP-8BT for the planer included.
